  Next video will look at the "GB" concept, both Biblically (umm, it's not there) and from what we were taught in Gilead.

  Then on to discussing chronology - 1919, 1914, 1932-38-44, and then to the Prophetic paralells taught in Gilead.

  After that, I will be creating some videos that are critical of the Bible itself, by presenting Bible accounts from a modern standpoint, demonstrating the barbarity of the Bible and why I don't think that a loving God would be begind it (see my previous thread where I satirized David's killing of the Philistines and then cut off their foreskins for a sample of the genre).

  Reniaa, the WTS specifically explains that the apostasy referred to in Thesalonians is talking about the clergy of Christendom that developed in the years following the death of the apostles.

  I am not a member of the clergy of Christendom. Therefore, how could I be an apostate, using Biblical definitions alone? The point of the video is that the Society claims that the Bible is clear about apostates, yet there is no scriptural support.

  Also, if you use the argument that an apostate is by definition, someone who leaves their religion, then you could say that JWs are in the apostate making business. JWs go from door to door seeking to make people leave their religion. Thus they are making apostates out of people. My parents, thus are apostates, as Paul was, as they left their native Judaism to become JWs.

  just thought this article was interesting in view of what has been said in the last couple of years on the forum about the declining number of elders and servants and those reaching out.

  add to that the large percentage of young teenage boys who leave 'the truth'.

  i can't ever remember this much space in a km being devoted to converting men.. para 2 states: "when a family head accepts the truth, he often influences others in the family to join him in pure worship".

  I'm with Reniaa on this one. How dare you mock the governing body?

  And also agreed, JWs don't talk like that at the doors. JWs believe, but won't tell the householders, that the GB is running the show, or that only JWs will survive. Householders won't find that out until they've agree to a Bible study and are approved to receive the sacred "organization" secret textbook.

  Thanks to Reniaa for pointing out that JWs are quite duplicit when speaking at the doors. Hooray for double-speak and cult mind-control tactics!

  Recently disfellowshipped prominent Assembly overseer in Western Europe now speaking out against the Watchtower org.

  former elder, and assembly overseer roberto from france will be joining barbara and joe anderson on tonight's conference call, july 18,2009. roberto was disfellowshipped in june 2009 and after many faithful years of service is now joining thousands of others who are speaking out against the evils of the watchtower organization.

  our call tonight will be focused on how the country of france, as well as other european countries are investigating jehovah's witnesses.

  the watchtower organization is experiencing difficulties in these countries for the inhumane treatment and exerting too much control over people's lives.

  there was a thread recently where someone said they were helped a lot by seeing letters to and forth between active jws and the bethel.. with that in mind we've put the correspondence between co johnsson and brooklyn on freeminds as downloadable pdf's.

  these are available elsewhere on the internet but this might help newbies to find them a bit more easily.. johnsson letters to bethel and their replies.
